The NBA player was shot and killed July 2010 his body remained in a wooded area near Germantown for nearly 9 days. Family members are suing the department for $2 million due to the fact a phone call was made when the shooting of Wright occurred and if the local police had the internet tracking system they could have located Wright sooner, possibly saving his life.  It is believed the department didn't have internet access because some officers abused their web access for personal use.
