A report from ESPN claims the University of Memphis and the Big East conference are close in making a deal, where U of M will participate in the eastern conference in all sports in 2013. Central Florida, Houston, SMU, Navy, San Diego State and Boise State also are reported to be joining the Big East soon. Exiting the Big East are heavy-hitters West Virginia, Pittsburgh and Syracuse.
The Big East plays conference home to Cincinnati, UConn, Louisville, Rutgers, West Virginia, Pittsburgh and Syracuse.
